  • We explore your beliefs about the trauma, learn how to take back your personal power, and overcome the negative impacts it has brought to your life

  • Complex Trauma occurs when you have experienced/witnessed multiple life altering experiences. This can also come from childhood /prenatal experiences. We work together using ACT skills to transform emotional pain, and free you from self-judgements.

  • We address the complexities of personality disorders. With a Schema approach, We work collaboratively to develop personalized interventions and strategies for healing from broken attachments and maladaptive coping skills in order to feel less hurt or vulnerable within the world.

  • There is no formal attachment disorder diagnosis for adults, but they can experience attachment issues. These can stem from untreated or undiagnosed attachment disorders in childhood. We will work to heal the inner child part that is necessary to have healthy relationships.

  • A mood disorder is a mental health condition that mainly affects your emotional state. People with mood disorders often experience long periods of extreme emotional highs and lows. There are a few different types of mood disorders, but two of the most common types are depression and bipolar disorder. We will use a diary card to track moods and behaviors and apply skills to support a balanced lifestyle

  • Someone with DID has multiple, distinct personalities. The various identities control a person's behavior at different times. The condition can cause memory loss, delusions, or depression. We work together to help you understand the root cause of your condition. Then help you develop new ways of coping with stressful situations. Over time, you talk more about the shocking, distressing, or painful events you went through. Integration is a key component to healing the past and being able to function successfully in your present life.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

“Dialectical” means combining opposite ideas. DBT focuses on helping people to accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors, as well as helping them learn new skills

Clients learn the skills of mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. These skills transform negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors into assertiveness, resiliency, balance, and setting positive life goals

Interventions and Skill Building Models Utilized in Sessions

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is an action-oriented approach to therapy that stems from traditional behavior therapy.

Clients learn to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with their inner emotions and, instead, accept that these deeper feelings are appropriate responses to certain situations that should not prevent them from moving forward in their lives.

With this understanding, clients begin to accept their hardships and commit to making necessary changes in their behavior, regardless of what is going on in their lives and how they feel about it.

Schema Therapy

Schema therapy shows promise as a treatment for many mental health concerns, including eating disorders and depression. Most of the existing research has looked at the role of schema therapy in treating borderline personality disorder and other personality disorders.

Clients struggling with chronic depression, anxiety, and/or relationship difficulties get results with Schema therapy as it enables changes in clients who feel hopeless about their self-destructive patterns.

Humans need secure attachments to others (including safety, stability, nurturance, and acceptance). Autonomy, competence, and sense of identity. As well as the freedom to express valid needs and emotions.

Discover the power of healing through learning new life skills moving you towards a brighter future.
